The alleged abuse happened while Van Dam taught at Sioux Center Christian School.
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – An Iowa elementary teacher is facing 140 counts of inappropriate conduct with students.
Police first arrested 35-year-old Curtis Van Dam at the end of October on two counts; lascivious conduct with minor and lascivious acts with a child.
The Sioux Center Police Department (SCPD) is involved with disaster preparedness, which provides early warning and recovery during the threat of a disaster or severe weather.
The SCPD also takes part in the Salvation Army program, which provides assistance for people in need.
